US Citizenship Application

    As a US Lawful Permanent residents, you are eligible to apply for Naturalization to become a US Citizenship at the USCIS after 5 years of stay in the US or only after 3 years if your spouse is a US Citizen. Online Application is available to complete and submit the Form N-400. After payment and completing the application, you will just then wait for the schedule of your Biometric Fingerprinting if needed, then next will be the schedule of your Interview and Test.  This will take months. 

    The Interview and Test consists of the English Test and Civic Test. English Test will just to demonstrate that you are able to read, write and speak basic English. No worries, this is easy. Just listen carefully and attentively to the USCIS officer so you can answer and write what you need to.  

    The Civic Test is about American Government and History. You may then need to study the 100 Civic Test Questions where the USCIS officer assigned to you will ask you 20 questions (2020 Version -applicants after March 1, 2021). You must answer at least 12 out of the 20 questions correctly to pass the Civic Test. Those who applied for the Naturalization before March 1, 2021 were given the 2008 version and were given 10 questions and at least 6 should be answered correctly to pass the test.

What makes life In the United States of America better and so hard.

Living in the United States of America is better for me in terms of status in life. I will first mention good things about the US according to my experience. Here in the US, the value of money is higher. You get to buy things or foods which are considered expensive in the Philippines. You can enter Restaurant, shopping malls and casinos with just wearing shorts or casual attire. No one cares whatever you wear unlike in the Philippines. I never entered a casino or a Casino Resort in the Philippines. It feels like only the rick people go there and I think you have to wear something semi-casual or business attire. Not sure. I just heard it with some friends. In the Philippines, it feels like foreigners are richer and have better lives than me. But when I get to the US, I work with other race especially with the Americans, Mexicans, Vietnamese and we are just on the same level. What a nice feeling hahaha.
